     The Franz Mayer Museum is a museum located in Mexico City, Mexico. It is dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of Mexican decorative arts, with a focus on the colonial period. The museum holds a large collection of silver, textiles, ceramics, furniture, and other decorative objects, as well as works by Mexican artists of the colonial period. The museum was founded in 1985 and is named after its founder, Franz Mayer, a German-Mexican businessman who was passionate about preserving Mexican cultural heritage. The museum is housed in a 19th-century building and is considered one of the most important museums of decorative arts in Mexico.
